Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch

It's Friday Funday!!! Here's a cool Ladytron tune from their Witching Hour record. Kind of sounds like Lush doesn't it? Enjoy!

Brad Paisley - Online

It's Country Thursday! Last couple weeks, I focused on the "alt" side, so let's hit something a bit more mainstream today. Here's a clever tune and a very funny video from Brad Paisley. Think of it as a public service announcement for those of you in the online dating scene. Enjoy!

The New Amsterdams - Turn Out The Light

I was looking for a mellow video today, so of course my mind went right to The Get Up Kids. That of course only makes sense if the thought quickly moves to frontman Matt Pryor's solo project: The New Amsterdams. Here's a video from the Story Like A Scar record. Enjoy!

Rise Against - Prayer of the Refugee

OK, so I'm a day late with the weekly adrenaline rush. We'll just say today is Punk Rock Tuesday. Here's a great tune from 2006's The Sufferer & The Witness by Rise Against. Enjoy!

Rachael Yamagata - Worn Me Down

I know it's "supposed" to be Punk/Metal Monday, but I'm just too revved up for tonight's Rachael Yamagata and Madi Diaz concert. Here's the first single from Rachael's Happenstance record. Enjoy!

Death Cab For Cutie - The Sound of Settling

I still find it hard to believe that a band named Death Cab For Cutie would be among my favorite bands in the world. But they are. Here's the song that started it all for me. Enjoy!

The Pierces - Sticks & Stones and Boring

It's hard to believe that it's been about seven years since I first "discovered" The Pierces. The sisters were opening up for someone so awesome I can't seem to remember who it was (I kid...I see a lot of shows and I can't remember every line-up for every show). I was really impressed though with their set and gladly picked up Light of the Moon when it came out (about a month or so later). While I really liked that album, I went head over heels bonkers for their follow-up Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge. Here are two great videos from that album. Enjoy!

Polar Bear Club - Living Saints

When I read a couple years ago that a band from my hometown was making waves in the hardcore scene, I had to check them out. What I discovered was my new favorite hardcore band: Polar Bear Club. Here's a great video from their second record -- Chasing Hamburg. Enjoy!

Flogging Molly - Drunken Lullabies

It's the Friday Funday St. Patrick's Day edition!!! So crack open a Guinness and crank up this Flogging Molly classic.

Also, stay safe tomorrow kiddies. Remember, if you're gonna get drunk, don't drive. If you're gonna drive, don't get drunk...and can I get a ride home from the bar? Thanks. Cheers!

Kathleen Edwards - I Make The Dough, You Get The Glory

So not only is it Country Thursday, but it's also the start of March Madness. So of course I chose a hockey-themed video for today. Awesome timing as always. Regardless, I'm a big Kathleen Edwards fan and this song is among her finest. The interactions between Kathleen and the hockey legends on the ice are priceless. Enjoy!

Automatic Loveletter - Hush

I've become somewhat obsessed with The Voice. And that was even before I knew Charlotte Sometimes was going to be on the show.

So far, I've been really impressed with Team Cee Lo member Juliet Simms. Well, it turns out, like Charlotte, Juliet has a cool alt-rock past. Her band Automatic Loveletter played the Warped Tour the same year Charlotte did (go figure). So here's a new Forgotten Favorite. Enjoy!

Hot Hot Heat - Bandages

Not quite sure why this Hot Hot Heat song popped into my head this morning, but it's a good thing that it because I had no idea what video I was going to post today. It's cool how things work out like that sometimes. Anyway, here's the big single from their debut record Make Up The Breakdown. Enjoy!

Shadows Fall - What Drives The Weak

Here's a Metal Monday treat from the always awesome Shadows Fall. Enjoy!

The Dresden Dolls - Coin-Operated Boy

Thank God it's finally Friday Funday!!! Let's have some fun with the punk cabaret stylings of The Dresden Dolls. Enjoy!

Alison Krauss & Union Station - Let Me Touch You For A While

Every summer my wife and I rent a house on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It's my favorite week of the year. After dinner, we always retreat to the deck overlooking the sound to stargaze, enjoy some drinks, and of course listen to music. Alison Krauss & Union Station is the perfect soundtrack for these nights. Here's one of my favorite songs by Alison. Enjoy!

Tegan and Sara - Walking With A Ghost

Looks like I'll go indie again today with a classic video from Tegan and Sara. Enjoy!

Rainer Maria - Catastrophe

I unfortunately, jumped on the Rainer Maria bandwagon as they were calling it quits. It happens. I have to say though, when I heard Rainer Maria's last record -- Catastrophe Keeps Us Together -- I quickly scooped up a few of their other releases. This is my kind of indie rock. Here's the lead track off their last record. Enjoy!

System of a Down - Chop Suey!

Some Mondays I just need a serious kick in the pants to get going. This System of a Down song usually works. Enjoy!

Ida Maria - I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked

It's FRIDAY FUNDAY!!! Should I really have to explain the best way to watch this Ida Maria video? Enjoy!

The Postal Service - Such Great Heights

I know today is supposed to be Country Thursday (note to self: still need a better name for that one), but I heard this The Postal Service song on the radio this morning and I haven't stopped smiling since. Enjoy!
