Mad Season - River of Deceit

I recently picked up a used copy of the Mad Season cd. I have no idea why it took me so long. I always dug Layne Staley's voice and today's song. Better late than never I suppose. Enjoy!

Get Up Kids - Action & Action

Something to Write Home About by The Get Up Kids is easily in my top 10 favorite albums of the 90s and possibly all time. Never tire of this gem. Enjoy!

Drop Nineteens - Winona

I hadn't thought about the Drop Nineteens in some time, but, just a few days ago I was going through a box of old tapes and stumbled upon their Delaware tape. After watching this video, I may need to upgrade to CD. Enjoy!

Hammerbox - Hed

One of the first requests I ever got here was for Hammerbox. I of course blew it off because to be honest I had never heard them before, (I had heard of them though...big difference). It was only after I posted a video for Goodness a while back that I made the connection (Hammerbox singer went on to form Goodness). So here's my introduction to Hammerbox. Enjoy!

Dandelion - Under My Skin

I always thought I Think I'm Gonna Be Sick by Dandelion was a pretty rad album. Sure, it sounds like Mudhoney, but it's still pretty cool, fuzzed out rock. Enjoy!

Meat Beat Manifesto - Edge of No Control

It's no secret that I was a big fan of electronic music in the early 90s. One of my favorite bands were Meat Beat Manifesto Here's one of their best songs and a downright cool video off of their Satyricon album. Enjoy!

Cell - Fall

Initially, I was more intrigued by Cell than I was "into" them. I suppose it had a lot to do with Thurston Moore singing their praises early on. While it took me a bit to get their discs, it was easy to see what Moore saw in their fuzzed-out alt rock stylings. Here's a track off their debut Slo*Blo. Enjoy!

Catherine - Four Leaf Clover

I was a HUGE fan of Catherine's Hot Saki and Bedtime Stories album. If you've never heard them, go to YouTube and check out the audio clip of their awesome song Whisper. For now though, here's the only video I can find from the Hot Saki album (and yes, that is D'Arcy in the video). Enjoy!

Season to Risk - Jack Frost

I didn't listen to a lot of Season to Risk back in the day, but after seeing this video, I see the error in my ways. Sure, it kind of sounds like Helmet, but is that really a bad thing? Enjoy

Picasso Trigger - Rub a Dub

I was looking through a box of my 7"s on Friday night when I ran across an old favorite by Picasso Trigger. Here's a quick blast off of their Fire in the Hole! album. Enjoy!

Magnapop - Slowly, Slowly

OK, here's another band I haven't thought of in a long time -- Magnapop. I think I may need a reintroduction. Here's a track off of their Hot Boxing cd. Enjoy!

Queen Sarah Saturday - Seems

Sometimes band names will just pop into my head when trying to figure out who to write about here. Queen Sarah Saturday popped into my head today for whatever reason. I'm glad they did. Haven't really listened to them since maybe 96 and after watching this video I need to rip that old cd onto my iPod. Great power pop. Enjoy!

Saves the Day - Shoulder to the Wheel

The weather today is great. Drove around town with the windows down blaring Through Being Cool by Saves the Day. Here's a track off that hardcore classic. Enjoy!
